Dannie Boyd is a St. Louis-born poet, visual artist, and educator. His work focuses on the subjects of romance and social justice. St. Louis Public Radio featured his dramatic story of photographing the 2014 Ferguson demonstrations in their 2019 "Living Ferguson" production, a nationally broadcast program on NPR.
Dannie is expanding on this work by exposing new narratives of the events through writings, exhibitions, and workshops. He also serves as a professor of communications at the same community college in Ferguson where his journey as a poet first began.
